tell them I have another job or stay about 6 weeks & then go home. If don't do this I wouldn't have a chance for a board job this fall. As it is I don't know whether I can work, play football & still get my studies, which of course will have to come in the reverse order of importance. It just looks as if I stepped into a fast one this summer. Thousands of boys are doing this & worse every year. The trouble is I think I could have gotten a job this summer & missed this predicament. However I am learning plenty. Several times a day my eyes water when I think of everything we have to be grateful for. The demonstration we had on our moving to Omaha & father's job previous to that is marvelous. When I think of the petty things we griped over the last two years I feel like kicking myself. The best plan for getting thru school from now on will be for me to get that scholarship & keep it up & get a job for the summer outside the U. at which I can make $90 or $100. Start thinking right now for such likelihoods
