Again we had to help our "chums" with their canoe & packs. Truly, a great developer of control of the temper (I don't have a map before me so I may not have all the lakes in their proper order, but probably sufficiently so that you can follow the route ok) Somewhere around Jones & Cochrane lakes we portaged thru a swamp in which the footing was very sloppy and insecure. About every third step sunk clear to the knee or thigh. It was here that I had my only trouble with my feet. (I go barefooted on the trips & most of the time in camp
