JAMES W. FAY LAWYER Emmetsburg, Iowa December 31st, 1938. Mr. Nile Kinnick, 5024 Hamilton, Omaha, N E B R. Dear Nile: I thought of writing this letter to you at the time I sent a Christmas card, but thought it might be better to wait. I was both disappointed and surprised at the outcome of the captaincy election. However, that is life, and I guess we have to face disappointments to really prove our mettle. With your flaming courage, brains, ability and physical qualifications I know that you will carve your name high in the football sky next year, and I want to be one of the first to say I TOLD YOU SO!! The best of good luck and wishes, ALWAYS. Very truly yours, JAMES W. FAY JWF-H.
