NILE C. KINNICK 1114 SOUTH 79th OMAHA 4. NEBRASKA March 3, 1955 Mr. W. Earl Hall, Editor Mason City Globe-Gazette Mason City, Iowa Dear Earl: I can't tell you how pleased and grateful I am to learn that the University has the negative for Nile's picture. Pleased to know that it is available and grateful to you and to Enoch Norem for the little news item that did the trick. It is most unlikely that I would have made another contact with the University in the effort to locate the film as I had written to Eric Wilson first and he was unable to find any trace of it in the Athletic Department files. As I told you, this has long been a favorite picture of ours, and the only existing print that had come to our attention was the one given by Nile to his aunt and uncle in Adel, I am writing to Fred Kent asking for a loan of the film or the preparation of some 8 x 10 prints which I know other members of the family will be very happy to have. Thanks so much for your many kindnesses Earl. This one emphasizes again that being helpful and friendly really is your business. Newspapering is just one of the tools of your trade. Sincerely yours, Nile Nile C. Kinnick
