Monday 4 AM March 15, 1943 Dear Ken, Well here I am on watch again at 4 in the morning and not feeling any better about it than I ever do. At that it is far better than the sentry duty we stood at New Orleans, isn't it? Glad to hear that you have been made an instructor in DC3s. Sounds like a good deal. Would like to get a little twin engine time under you myself someday. You will be interested to know that Ben is in the Marines at Corpus and is getting "P" boat training. Like all cadets he has high hopes for A20's or B25s after graduation. Admonished him not to become too hopeful. Your experiences in the field of romance sound most intriguing. California has the east coast beaten a dozen different ways for that sort of thing-and I say that without disrespect for your ability as a lover in any location. Sad to relate my social life since at Quonset has been nil. Have a good line on a Powers model in New York if I ever get down there again, but the
