May 30, 1943 (Note: Nile's last letter home NCK Sr.) (Received after the Navy's telegram) Dear Folks, During the past week I received your fine letters - three from mother and one from George with an enclosed note from grandma. News from home means even more that it did at Quonset. Your correspondence to me is evidently uncensored so don't use that as an excuse for brevity. Vmail is somewhat faster than ordinary airmail, but the lengthier, though slower, letters will be much appreciated also. Can't tell you how happy I am that we have a new house. It sounds as if it were really something. Shall look forward eagerly to the time when we are all together again under the new roof. Was astounded at the price you got for the Hamilton location - which incidentally was a happy and comfortable plot in my book and served our needs well. But how nice that we can move on! Hope that you will receive favorably my request that you draw $50 from my account to help defray moving expenses. Please don't demur, it is little enough. Sounds as if Ben is going to get to fly the type of planes he hoped for. Trust he will get that 15 day leave for sure. He"ll go crazy if
