get any days off at all. Will be glad to get out of here next week sometime. Your trip to Washington sounded like a lot of fun. What I saw of their cocktail parties in the winter of 1939-40 makes me feel that you found it easy to get in the "groove". Man, they lined up those Martinis & Manhattans as far as the eye could see. I agree that the eastern girls are pale in beauty beside the lusty, healthy creatures of the midwest. But brother, if I should run into that exotic beastie from Wilmington, Del. again she had better prepare. We have practically been living in a monastery here at Cecil Field, and stating it mildly, I don't care for it. Had a letter from my shapely friend in K.C. just the other day in which she said that she wasn't sure now just what she wanted, that she thinks of me a lot, etc, all of which is a bit belated. These post leave change of hearts give little satisfaction!? Envy you and your connection with that Persian damozel, McGeehan. Sounds like a good deal. This is the 5th of December and the 3rd anniversary of the Cornbelt Comets debut in New York City to get the Heisman trophy. Those were the days Bob; seems almost like a dream now.
