2 Sometimes wonder how it all happened. Bet Dr. E.N. Anderson does too. Hobbs Adams approached me when I first came to Jax asking if I wanted to play on the station team. It was no trouble to say no. Funny how my desire has been drained. Only now and then do I feel the urge to have another go at it. Guess I can too vividly recall those long, exhausting practices we use to have. God, how we use to run, run, run with never a let up. We play touch around here now and then, and then, of course, I have to set the boys straight on who is who by tossing them with either hand and kicking the little ball to hell and gone. Well, bigger things are coming up and not so long off either. Don't know whether I am ready or not. Sometimes I think I am and at others I am not so sure. When the chips are down I trust I'll have the stuff. Things look better in the war against Germany although it may be a little while yet before we get the Boche out of Africa. Hope the big shots have some fancy strategy
