an old Luther and not a Flexible Flyer. How could a fellow keep up without a Flex? And then I think there were tears-probably all the way around. Do you recall all this? I daresay I do. Ultimately Ben and I both got nice big Flexible Flyers and the Luther was given to Joe Kubacek. Those were the days when stockings were hung from the mantle, when wreaths of holly were placed in the windows and on the door, a huge Xmas tree tood in the corner all lighted and surrounded by gifts. No happy novel, no idyllic little story could have improved the picture. How little I appreciated the peace and beauty of those times. If I were home this very day I could not possibly hope to recapture those experiences. But I know one thing I would for certain. I would read out loud that delightful little poem, The Night Before Xmas, and also Dickens Christmas Carol. Then I'd sit back and enjoy the traditional Xmas music, either over the radio or from a record-Silent Night, Little Town of Bethlehem, Round yon Virgin, and the gay favorite, Jingle Bells. Have you done all these things today? If you haven't, I'm disappointed. That kind of a Xmas seems rather important to me now.
