I appreciate her generosity and sentiment, but I fear it is a bit misdirected. Perhaps, she doesn't know that the U.S. Air force is the highest paid service in the world. Could you tactfully & subtely get the truth of the matter to her through grandma? On the other hand maybe it would be best that I do it. I can't in good conscience keep the money and yet I wouldn't hurt her feelings for the world. Believe that I shall buy something for grandma and write Sid that her $3 went for part of it. I received your telegram in re: my investment plans and await the letter that is to follow. The idea is good; lets be shrewd about it. If we find what we want fine, if not, we can bide our time. In my letter suggesting that we pchse 40. A or so I carelessly penned "lets not be buffeted by the world" or some such thought. That was poorly put. I meant to say lets not remain static or passive. Lets put our ideas and money to work for us. Far from being buffeted we have done wonderfully well since '31 & '32. The family ties have become ever closer, we have enjoyed a congenial & comfortable home, good food, good health; Ben & I have finished college free of debt - they total a happy recollection. Humble gratitude for all these plus vision and energy can bring an even greater abundance, however. I forgot to enclose $10 for the church fund in my last letter. Herewith I rectify that error. Will appreciate an acknowledgement of this and also of the $125 in postal money orders I sent some time ago. What do you hear from Ben? How is Geo getting along? Much love, Nile
