where I purchased "The Unrelenting Struggle," the most recent compilation of Churchill speeches. The very first one is a "Tribute to Neville Chamberlain" delivered before the House of Commons, just a few days after his death. Mr. Churchill's great character embraces more than coverage, defiance of evil, adherence to principle. He is also generous, kind, appreciative of the efforts of others. Where in all history is there a man of more tremendous stature? His speeches excite my imagination, inspire and key me as no others do. He and Lincoln are my favorites. In my library I want to have everything they have ever written. I wish that you would buy for me out of my account Churchill's two volume work on World War I called "The World Crisis," I believe. Also please get Jawaharlal Nehru's "Glimpses of World History." Next Ellie and I wandered up Fifth Ave past Cartiers, Mark Cross, Saks, to Georg Jensen's silver shop. There she helped me pick out a couple of small gifts for you, mother. One is a small lapel pin made by one of Jensen's artists in this country. The other is a cheese
