believe I left it lying on Bill Stuart's desk, or somewhere around the room. Perhaps, he has forwarded it to you by now. Glenn was good enough to haul my two large pieces of baggage out to the temporary residence of the Fiddle-de-Fees and then drive me over to the fieldhouse. Football practice was just about to get under weigh and the usual gang was hanging around outside the dressing room door-the coaches, Frank, Eddie, and Jim; the sportswriters, Bert McGrane of the D.M.Register, Eddie Munzel of the Daily News, Charlie Bartlett of the Chicago Tribune, and others; and then of course, there was Karl Leib and Dr. Alcock-practice wouldn't have been complete without those two. It was wonderfully good to see everyone again and heartwarming to realize how sincere each was in his greeting. Eddie suggested I take a little workout which sounded good to me, so I donned a pair of sweatpants and a quarter sleeve and kicked a few with Frank. Didn't do badly either; I
