Monday Nov. 16, 1942 Dear Folks, This will be a hodge-podge of acknowledgement and miscellaneous statement aimed at putting straight our correspondence of the past two weeks. I am in receipt of two letters from mother mailed on the 9th & the 11th. Would like to have you send me the sentinel containing the article by Alfred Pittman you think is so good. Much appreciated the editorial by Peter V. Ross entitled 'To the Man & Woman in Uniform" in a sentinel you mailed me some time ago. Also thanks very much for the date bars and hersheys. They hit the spot. From father I have a letter mailed from Mason City on Nov. 4th and one from Cedar R. dated Oct. 3 - written on stationery pilfered from Hotel Chambers in Cresco. The C.R. epistle enclosed the Register article about Geo, a Kiplinger circular, and several letters from Ben, including one he wrote me which I had sent along to you some time ago. Glad to hear that you had a nice chat with Tait and that you got to see the Purdue game, Gus. Equally happy to hear that you were going to look up Earl Hall and that you phoned Jimmy George's home. I had a note from James a couple of weeks ago in
