which he said he was leaving New River for the west coast the next day. Haven't heard from him since. Your letters are my greatest enjoyment - all of you - but how about some specific dope on how George is getting along in football - or is he? Things go along about the same here. Have finished formation taches and gunnery dummy runs; will start firing tomorrow. Hope I can hit that bloody sleeve better than at Miami. Am gaining more and more confidence in the F-4-F-4. Its really is a pretty fine airplane. I like it. Yesterday, for the first time, since coming to Jax, we flew on Sunday. Should have started it long ago. The rumor is that fighter 16 will go to Quanset PF. R.I. to board the New Lex sometime in December. Don't know for certain, but it sounds probable. This is in the nature of confidential information so keep it in the family. Hougebak & I are both in squadron 16. Bob is scheduled for a replacement group in Alameda, Calif. so we may be parting company before long. This is all for now. Everything fine. Yours, Nile P:S: It might be best to use VF unit rather than VF16 in addressing my letters. Father's were delayed several days & I think that was the cause.
