Monday night June 15, 1942 Dear People, This has been a long day, and how--up at 5:30 AM. and flying wasn't secured until 7:30 PM. I had a total of 4 1/2 hours of 9 plane formation flying today. Things went a little better for me than they have been in this squadron. Now only have one hop left, and I shall be all through at Pensacola. Should be leaving for Miami about Friday. Am looking forward to the training down there, but a little apprehensive about my gunnery ability. Of course, just because I'm no good with a shot gun doesn't mean I can't be proficient in fixed machine gunnery. In any event I'll get the training, and if I can't shoot well enough for fighters I can get scout-bombers, perhaps. Incidentally, I shot a little more
