Sabbath Morning July 3rd. 1864 This morning is a gloomy cloudy morning - and corresponds wonderfully with my feelings - Being quite unwell my mind suffers much of a depression - Yesterday P.M. we received the Hawk eye for the 27th. and 28th. of June - The one of the 27th. contained a letter from me descriptive of our trip down the river - This morning while I am seated here in camp writing my friends in Burlington and West Point are preparing for S. S. Oh. But I will appreciate the blessings
