2 Yesterday was a rather sad day for me. I reported for my eigth hour of instruction only to find that my instructor was being grounded for running into the tailend of an army ship up at Leavenworth. It is really too bad for he is a fine fellow, and the type of man under whom I enjoyed working. Had it not been for this difficulty I would be checking & soloing this weekend. Now I shall have to wait until a new instructor has been assigned to me. However, if everything goes well I should get a chance to check next week sometime. On top of all this my car wouldn't start once again. I had it up to the garage on Tuesday, and they were quite certain everything was fixed up this time. There must
