Wednesday Feb. 18, 1942 Dear People, So much has happened since last I wrote you that I hardly know where to begin. Perhaps, it would be best to first tell you that I am now located at Pensacola, and from what I have seen of it, I like it very much. Now to start back a little farther and bring things up to date. We spent most of Monday checking out of the New Orleans base. It is always a long and tiresome process and this was no exception. Around three oclock we had complied with all the red tape and our traveling orders were issued--directing us to report at Pensacola not later than Tues. noon. It being only a little over 200 miles distant, we thought there was no necessity of getting started right away. When I say we, I refer to the same boys who rode from K.C. to New Orleans with me--Pettit, Agan, & Haugebak. Although, we weren't going to have a lot of time we still thought it a good idea to see a little more of N.O. before departing. But first we needed a haircut. That being taken care we went to
