a movie and then down into the French quarter. I wish I had a good ability at descriptive expression, for were it so I could paint a very interesting picture of this section. It has the best and worst of about everything--from antiques and restaurants, to women and liquor! We were heading for Antoine's and a fine meal of which we had heard much. Neither the interior or exterior of this famous place is pretentious--but the food is good--excellent in fact. I started off with oysters on the half shell ala Rockefeller--and ala 60ȼ for one half dozen. They were tasty, they were good--but they were also brief! Oh yes, the menu was printed entirely in French. You would have died watching us order--especially Haugebak & Pettit. I helped them as best I could much to the amusement of the waiter, I am sure. Ioway & Nebrasky stuck out all over us. George would have been mortified! Following the oysters I had a small steak, very small in fact, because I had to have enough
