2 money left to buy some gas. Everything was ala carte so I skipped potatoes & vegetables & settled for a salad ala Antoine which was nothing but a very ordinary looking jumble of lettuce & four leaf clovers. The steak was as well cooked as any meat I have ever eaten. It almost melted in your mouth. But let me tell you about the salad. George will love this! As I was gathering together my last mouthful, I spied a small but quite active worm squirming around in the middle of the plate. Far from being alarmed at such a sight I was quite amused that this could happen in this very famous restaurant. It didn't take much urging from the rest of the fellows, in fact none at all, to persuade me that I should call it to the attention of the waiter--just for the devil of it. With impish glee I beckoned for him, and as he stood at my elbow all poised and ready to please, I said,
