His letter indicated that his life is much like mine - lots of classwork, gen'l military routine, and not much sleep. At 5:30 every morning the loudest and most exasperating bell I have ever heard rings in the hall right outside my room. It has barely finished before the mate of the deck is striding up and down the passageway shouting, "Reveille, all hands on deck." We have exactly 55 minutes in which to make our personal toilet, clean up the room, make our beds, and eat breakfast - no time for loitering anywhere along the line. You're lucky if you have time to drop into the "library" for a few moments. At 6:25 we muster and march off to our first class. At one end of the street the fullest moon you ever saw stares down at us in wonderment; at the other end the morning star shines diamond bright against a back drop
