Wednesday March 4, 1942 NILE C. KINNICK 5024 HAMILTON OMAHA, NEBRASKA Dear Ben, Glad to get your letter and all the news of your activities. Certainly, you have been strenuously busy. I trust that next quarter you will be able to take things a bit more leisurely. Life here at Pensacola is quite enjoyable. We go to ground school from 6:30 AM till 3:30 PM each day without a let up. You can appreciate that it gets a bit tiresome, but the subjects are of sufficient interest to keep you awake - that is, most of the time. You will find that is it pretty much a snap for you, having had much of the general theory in your engineering courses. Carburetors, propellers, gunnery, etc. have heretofore, been a bit outside my field, but now I find myself interested and getting along quite well. I would suggest you do some shooting before reporting
