4 Once again I have written hastily and without the regard for rhetoric and balance that I like to strive for. There is so much to say & so little time to write. It is a choice between short better written letters, and rambling, lengthy news circulars. I have chosen the latter as the one you would prefer. And now to quickly set down some little things you want to know. Yes, I rec'd the sox sent to New Orleans, & yes, George may have my brown whipcord pants. Received the box of cookies today. Thanks so much. Grandma sent me some not so long ago. Haven't had a chance to write yet. Please tell her that I will as soon as I get a little more time. The length of your letters, pap, especially the last one,
