I checked out of squadron one today. My last check flight was a formation hop in which we had to fly a little in V, then cross over into an echelon and back again, make a touch & go landing, etc. We aren't supposed to get very good at formation flying in this squadron - just demonstrate that we understand the general idea. Squadron two is the regular formation squadron. I believe they fly Vultees and OS2Us on wheels over there. It is located at Ellyson field. The primary squadrons all fly N3N-3s, N3N-1s, or Steermans.
