I am now learning to fly by instruments and to orientate myself on a radio range so that in bad weather I will be able to follow a radio beam in to an airport. We do most of our flying under a hood precluding the use of the horizon, etc, even of the sense of feel, for under a hood, as in a fog, when surrounding objects can't be seen your senses play you false. You can't tell for sure whether you are turning right or left, climbing or gliding without the use of the instruments. All of this is dual instruction so someone is always on the lookout to see that everything goes well. I wrote the folks in some detail about this training, perhaps, you will get to see that letter. Had a nice long letter from King the other day. Enjoyed hearing from him a lot and feel quite guilty that I haven't written him since coming into the service. Also received a long letter from Fred about a week ago a copy of which
