thought your voice excellent; that if you have any idea of engaging in such work that you are well equipped. Outside of that, I have nothing to offer. I assume that you will be doing the same thing at other home games? We shall try harder to get your station. About the Iowa-Nebraska game. One of my secretaries asked about a pair of tickets for that contest. Could you ask Chas. G. to hold a couple if they are available, and let me know what they cost and also their location. She phoned me yesterday and I said that I would see what could be done. Please do not ask any special favor on them but set the machinery in motion at the ticket office. Fall comes on apace, and winter is not far behind. Draft registration is next Wednesday, and national election four weeks hence. Your decision to establish residence in Iowa seems wise and has our approval. You of course have made certain about your voting rights so that you cannot in any way be challenged. State rights require six months residence; county, thirty days I believe and precinct 10 days. I just mention this so that you will be sure of your arrangements. The draft registration is being handled by the university for the students, I understand. Now that you have established your residence In Iowa, I assume that you will register in the precinct where you have established your residence, instead of at the university as a student. In your case, it appeals to me that the proper course would be to allow the draft to take its chance and continue on with law school as far as you can. I do not know that any special consideration will be given to college students. Should this emergency continue and you have not been called by the time that you complete your law courses, it would seem smart to enlist for the one year in order to get it out of the way before taking up any business connection. Have you given that phase of the matter any thought? Conditions nay change quite rapidly, the way things seem to be shaping up now, and a decision may be up for consideration long before three years are up. But we shall not be found napping, 1 fervently hope. Love Pop
