Your record in the College of Law, State University of Iowa, for the period just closed is indicated on the reverse side of this sheet by the symbols in front of the courses for which you were registered. If there is an omission it will be supplied upon request. Pains have been taken to make this report reliable but in case of discrepancy between it and the office record the latter will control. Meaning of Symbols The percentage average may be translated into letter grades used in other departments on the following scale of equivalents. 100-85, A; 84-80, B+; 79-75, B; 74-70, C+; 69-65, C; 64-60, D; 59-0, Fd. P Passed. F Failed. Abs. (absent from examination without excuse) is in effect a failure. Abs. Ex. (absent from examination upon excuse granted) entitles the student to take the examination with the class at the next time the course is given, or subsequently, at the discretion of the faculty, without being required to repeat the class work. W Withdrawn with consent of Dean. To receive credit in a course in which he has failed a student must register for it the next time the course is given, or within the discretion of the faculty at a subsequent time, and may be required to repeat the class work if deemed necessary by the Dean and professor in charge of the course. Any student who fails to pass more than one-half of the number of hours for which he is registered in any given year is automatically dropped from the college. In order to continue in the School a student, after the completion of his first year, must have a weighted average of 63 on his highest 30 hours; after the completion of his second year, he must have a weighted average of 64 on his highest 56 hours of work. 1M:3-41:6245B
