Thursday night Dear Family: 9-14-'41 It is now nearly two weeks since Ben and I left all of you and the best that I have done is write a postcard. I must advance the same old alibi that I have been very busy. Even now it is ten pm and I have just returned from a chalk talk not a date. Ben had a good time during the week he spent here I'm quite sure. He played quite a bit of golf and didn't arise till he felt like it. He thought the University golf course was mighty fine as I knew he would. I am hoping that he can get down to a game or two this fall. I'm sorry, mother, that
