2 a few days ago asking me to speak at an inter-fraternity banquet the forepart of October. I would really like to accept but my coaching obligations restrict me more than last year & I felt it necessary to refuse. Today a happy announcement was made to me by Dad Schroeder. He said that he had recommended to the board & they had ok'd a $250 a month stipend to me for these three months rather than the regular $150. It was really Anderson's idea & not Dad's. I had planned to mention such a proposition to Eddie when I left home but without solicitation he told me he had put it up to Schroeder - this was the 1st time I saw him.
