We also learned a little about the general construction & operation of a plane.  Following this we lined up like a bunch of pigs in the sick bay to get typhoid shots & a smallpox vaccination.  I guess we get a shot of some kind about every Friday.  I feel no ill effects whatsoever at the present writing - and don't anticipate that I will.  Commander Wright who is head of the Flight Selection Board for this area invited Ken & me to attend the last meeting of the K.C. quarterback club tonight at the continental Hotel.  If I have to talk I haven't any idea what I might say that would be of interest to them.  After supper we went to another poor show in K.C. & then dropped over to the Drum Room of the Hotel President, for a look around.  Next we wandered up to the Town Royal where we ran into Dan Allen, Sid Brody, & Homer Bradshaw all of D. Moines.  They are stationed at Ft. Leavenworth in the observation corps.
