February 27, 1940 To Whom It May Concern: Mr. Nile Kinnick has asked me to make a statement concerning his deserts in connection with his application for a scholarship in the Law School of the University of Iowa for 1940-41. It is a pleasure to say that I can recommend him unreservedly, inasmuch as I have had no student in my classes in many years whose all-around qualifications and promise of future usefulness were more pronounced. Respectfully submitted, C. A. Phillips Dean CAP:L
