have few dull moments, if his epistles are any criterion. By the way, I hope that you promptly and fully expressed your gratitude to Mr. Ralph, for the good information that he was kind enough to get for you from sources not available to the ordinary inquirer, I should like to know something about the company which makes these folders; how stable are they and what is their financial foundation. Just what is the working arrangement between that company and Bans, the terms of their contract, etc. What has been the history of the company, and Baum, the terms of their contract, etc. What has been the history of the company, and Baum, relative to progress in improving their product. Could this business be nullified to any important degree by some newer invention. Is their protection largely in patents, and if so how long will that protection last. Does Baum own all of his end of the business and what is his financial structure. Such inquiries might appear odd to him coming from a prospective salesman, but I would find out if possible, probably that information is available only from Baum. But I do hope that you will have a really long and careful talk with him before you totally abandon your law plans. On the other hand it might be possible for you make a stake with Baum so that the law could come later without the necessity for a side job. By the way, you have made no mention of the coaching job lately. If you have not already done so, I suggest that you jot down the points that you want to discuss with Baum, also Weaver. A little plan of approach always helps until you know the ground better. Mother was in Adel last week for a good visit, and probably will go back again for next Monday, There is an ETS homecoming at Drake. I shall go back at the same time as I have a bit of Coffin business to attend to, and want to attend the annual Bankers Mortgage Soil Short Course at Ames on Tuesday and Wednesday, Your shoudl see our sward now; really magnificent and should be in its prime when you come next week. This cool wet spring has been ideal for grass, but not such an ideal setting for Easter outfits. Mother has been champing to wear her new dress at Sunday services and it appears like next sabbath is the show off. The trophies are grand and they get regular polishing from the young custodian. Bob was over for a few minutes the other evening. I understand that the Nebraska Clothing is interested in showing them during the Golden Spike days and that their display man may call me anytime. Whether anything of a remunerative nature will develope I cannot tell but you may be sure that the situation will be handled in the proper manner. Do we understand that you have now finished with the items still at Grandmas and that we should bring them home when we are there next week? Also, about your ALL American sweater. You have not displayed it nor wished to appear in it because you gave the other one to Rip Collins. As long as you were given the second sweater we can see no good reason why it should not be stated that a second sweater was given to you and label it as such. I do not know who could misunderstand that explanation. It would seem that such would be a safer procedure than to try to keep this one under cover. Please let me know your reaction to that, so I may know whether to mention it to Nebraska. I shall not unless you say so. See you next week, then. Love Pop
