REC'D JAN 5 1983 NILE C. KINNICK 423 South 89th Street Omaha, Nebraska 68114 December 29, 1982 Judge William C. Stuart Federal Court House Des Moines, Iowa Dear Bill: Recently a friend in Adel sent us a clip from the Adel paper reporting on your speech on November 28th to the All-State High School foot ball players in the meeting in Iowa City. The most interesting point was your quote from Nile, "I am more convinced than ever that desire is 80$ of the success in athletics". And I am sure that was in his mind for every serious activity he undertook. Last Monday I watched the David Hartman interview with Tom Harmon, Glen Davis and Gale Sayers. And Tom Harmon said almost the same thing, which promted me to send a note to Tom on that point. Surely it is a prime factor in the accomplishment of every good work. I don't see the Iowa papers regularly but some times your name appears in the press west of the Missouri, and I rejoice in reading about what you are doing, and remember the year you and Nile spent together. I won't be 90 until next April, and enjoy good health and activity. Happy New Year, and many more. Sincerely Nile Kinnick, Sr.
