Mr. Max Hawkins, Athletic Department, State University of Iowa, Field House, Iowa City, Iowa. My dear Max: Last week a young fellow came into my court with Frank Balazs, who played fullback at Iowa in 1937 and 1938. He was on the Carrier Lexington and saw Nile Kinnick's plane and Nile go down. I am enclosing herewith the highlights of what he told me. Thought it might be of interest to you.
