December 10 1/2 oClock marched to the ferry about 1 1/2 mile stacked arms & after standing in the mud 3 or 4 hours our turn came to cross the scow would carry about 30 our regt were all across before sundown marched to Colledge hill & quartered in the College Boarding house myself & several other chose to camp out doors & did so went to a barn & got some flax to sleep on our bed is worth about $40. 27th nothing going on not even a roll call in camp.
