January the rebs came down to the river & fired across & wounded one man in the 111th Ohio about 10 oClock AM we took arms & marched for Knoxville marched about 8 miles & went into camp on the r.r. as we were leaving the the plains our artilery fired several shots at the rebs Some of our guns were drawn away by hand two pieces were spiked and left the rest were taken on the cars
