February 12th mailed the letter & went on picket Stood one watch was taken sick was relieved & came to camp 13th arose in the morning felt considerable better eat nothing but a small piece of toast & a cup of crust coffee [had?] some milk the first since I came in Tenn. the rebs come in with another flag of truce in the night - one of our men on picket fired at a man who was crawling up to his post he was supposed to be
