May road did not march far that day passed a house on fire our front skirmishing with the rebs & steadily driving them went into camp about 9 oClock P.M. 20th revilee about 5 marched out & passed through Cassville about 9 oClock A.M. it is a beautiful town & if the people were all at home it would number probably 2000 inhabitants there is not a man to be seen in the town
