Marengo Jan 29 ..65 My Dear Son I sit down this pleasent sabbath morning to tell you how we are geting along we are as well as can be expected considering our age I have the rheumaties in my hands and shoulder so that it seams as if I should lose the use of my right arm but I am in hopes that when the weather gets warm it will get better we have been having a verry severe cold spell of weather it is pleasent to day and our folks have gone to the schoolhouse to prayer meeting we dont like to leave the house alone Tom Miles had over $100 taken out of a trunk not long ago and we dont know who to trust the neighbors are as well as usual Mr
