I can not speak of every thing that is in your letters by detail & it is not necessary that I should. Some of them I have spoken of often enough. I believe the last letter left you all well, except a sore on your face was troubleing you.... You did not tell me whether Abram got pay for his horse or not. You spoke of Walker Hyett. I remember him well. The Newton boys used to call him Fool Hyett. & Babe Hyett & the Newton Fool I remember one noon when he came to our house drunk, that he threw himself down upon the bed & came near breaking his head on the post, which amused the boys very much. He don't amount to any considerable sum I know I have seen several of the Newton boys since I have been in the army. I have a letter commenced to send to Robert & I must finnish that & write to Adda so I had
