[Perpendicular to letter:] Buf. Car. Co D. J. Townsend [Rl.?] Letter,, Express Receipt & Settlement Buffalo July 28th [1856?] F.J. [Touse?] Esqr Dr. Sir Agreeable to your Request I have this Day Examined the Freight Cars Marked and Being Marked M & M RR - and find them to compare with the Lithograph of the Buffalo car comps car A. having in addition a Window in one End and two Grain Doors to Each car I may further state with propriety that the Work turned out of this Established. is second to no other institution in this country - the car Bodies are put together in a manner combining Lightness with strength, and I think the sam amount of Material cannot be got into Better Shape - they have Bumper attachments which I think Enhance the value of Each car at Least $20 over any other now Built. Take them all in all I think they Reflect Great credit on the Institution and will Give satisfaction to any Reasonable purchasers Most Respectfully your Humble Servant [A. J. Sweet Jr.?] P.S. For servises Rendered you can act your own judgment Yours Sweet
