26 Talladega Ala Oct 9" 1865 Monday [Co?] Co. C. was Detached from the Regiment for Duty at Center Cherokee County. I was Releived from Office of Regt Treasurer and turned all the papers relative to Said office with $18.73 the Blallance of. Funds enexpended in my hands at this Date to Abner Dunham Lieut & C. of 2, the 12" Iowa Infty. the order releiving me is Genl Order No 27" Capt Fuller Comdg Regt. The Company marched to the Depot at 4 p.m. embarked at 5 and reached Blue Mountain at 8 o'clock P.M. where the R. R. terminates we Camped at Blue Mountain for night 30 miles from Talladega.
