57 Center Ala Nov 4th 1865 Saturday quite a Number of men were in Town to day taking the Oath to enable them to vote on Monday for the various Officers. such as Members for Congress & the State Legsilature, State Governor, & all the County offices are to be filled and there are so few men realy qualified for such Officers who are Loyal, that very poor men will elected in many instances Went to preaching this evening where Mr Hillis a Baptist held forth in a tremendous tirade of anathamas against the Sinner without Stoping to draw a full breath for 1 hour
