74 Center Ala Nov 21st 1865 Tuesday Some of the Citizens proposed a trip to the falls of Black River on the lookout Mountain as being a place of considerable interest from the fact of its being on the Mountain, and the remains of Ancient Fortifications near the falls Suposed to the work of De Sota,s Party, or perhaps earlier. The expedition fell through because the Folks have not the necessary transportation for the trip and the falls are 40 miles from Center.Went to a Singing School this evening in the Village the Class done very well.
